# The "Next Step" Button

A central tenet of PDPTab.com (and MSPDP tab before it) has been to make running tournament as easy as possible.

Rather than require an intricate knowledge of debate tournament procedures, the program is designed to follow a "script" which knows the next step in the debate tournament.

As such, from the tournament home page, the most common thing you will need to do during the tournament is click the "Next Step" button. It will guide you through the normal operation of a tournament.

The buttons on the left hand side allow you to do additional steps such as printing extra sets of postings, ballots, confirmation sheets, or results. But for the most part, you will probably not need these if everything is running smooth.
