# Recording Ballots

A key step in running your tournament is "Tabbing" the ballots - the process where we take the results of each debate and record it.

When running a face-to-face tournament with paper ballots, you will want to find a quiet place to record all of the ballots. Ideally, a partner to assist in reading the scores can greatly speed up the process.

In an online tournament, this process is skipped since the judges are entering the scores directly on the website using an eBallot.
